Room photos in Elfie Spot Finder

Elfie Spot Finder asks for a room photo only if you choose to scan. Preset ideas on a day do not need the camera. That scan step is on how the app works. What the privacy policy says

The privacy policy (last updated 8/27/2026) says the app may automatically collect “Camera and photo library access (only when you choose to use photo features).”

On storage, the same page says: “Your photos and data are stored locally on your device. We may use cloud storage services to sync your data across devices if you choose to enable this feature.”

Apple’s wrapper on that same listing says the developer, Phillip Boscarino, indicated those practices, that Apple has not verified them, and points to the developer’s privacy policy.
