How Elfie Spot Finder works
Elfie Spot Finder is an iPhone app that suggests a hiding spot from a photo of the room you are standing in. That is the product, not a list of generic ideas. The App Store listing describes the flow in three steps: snap a photo, get a spot, place the elf.
It is iPhone only. The live listing requires iOS 15.1 or later. There is no Android app.
1. Snap a photo of the room
Open the app and tap Find a New Spot. The home screen says Scan your room for magic. That camera step is the one the store listing calls “Snap a photo of any room.”

You pick the room. The app does not invent a house it has not seen. The privacy policy says camera and photo-library access happen when you choose to use photo features, and that photos are stored locally, with optional cloud sync if you turn that on. The App Store privacy label currently says Data Not Collected. Read Privacy for the site’s own wording. This page does not resolve the difference.
2. Get a hiding-spot idea
The listing’s next line is “Elfie reveals perfect hiding spots your kids will never guess.” In the app that lands on a Perfect Spot Found card: a name for the setup, what to use, and how to set it up, then Use This Spot or Try Another.

The homepage says the app uses AI to suggest spots from the room and that it “never repeats spots.” Those are product claims on the live site and store, not a lab test. This page does not explain how the model works.
3. Place the elf and save the shot
The store’s third step is “Place your elf and sleep easy.” After you use a spot, the app shows a Perfect Shot screen so you can save the setup. Buttons on that screen are Save & Share, Retake, and Save Only. The homepage also says you can keep those photos in an in-app gallery.

That is the loop: photo, idea, place, save. Then do it again tomorrow in a different room, or the same room from a new angle.
What it costs
The app is free to download. The App Store listing and the terms both say the same thing: 3 free pictures, then $5.99 per year for Elfie Spot Finder Pro. The yearly plan auto-renews unless you turn auto-renew off in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Version 1.0.1 notes on the store replaced a trial with the 3-picture allowance. There is no monthly plan on the live store or the current terms.
Manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
What this page is not
It is not a list of 25 hiding spots. It is not an official brand page. It is the product walkthrough for parents who want a spot from this kitchen or this hallway, tonight.
