Lego City Foreman: One-Brick Inspection

Construction never sleeps, even when the crew is mostly plastic. Your elf is inspecting the existing brick city with a single brick in hand like a very small, very serious foreman. You do not have to build a new skyline at midnight, which is the nicest sentence in holiday parenting. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit.
Keep bricks on the table because they are choke-size, and sweep the floor before breakfast feet arrive.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • The existing brick build on the table
- • One loose brick for the elf to hold
- • A small “hard hat” sticky note if you want extra joke
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Use what is already out
Do not dump a new bin on the floor. Work with the build already on the table. Push stray bricks into a pile so the city has a job site, not a minefield.
Step 2: Hand over one brick
Give the elf a single brick as a clipboard substitute. Extra loose pieces go back in the bin. One brick photographs as “inspection.” Twenty bricks photograph as “cleanup.”
Step 3: Post the foreman
Stand your elf at the tallest existing tower. A sticky-note hard hat on the elf’s own hat is optional comedy. Face the scene toward the playroom door.
Step 4: Sweep before bed
Run a hand over the floor around the table. Bricks are choke-size and they hide in socks. In the morning, kids can keep building; you already did the dangerous part.
