Pom-Pom Pit: Soft Craft Table Splash

The craft table opened a ball pit, and your elf cannonballed in. They are up to their hat in pom-poms, looking like recess started without permission. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit.
Keep small pom-poms away from toddlers who still mouth crafts, and sweep strays off the floor so they are not a slip hazard.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • A bowl or shoebox
- • A handful of craft pom-poms
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Fill the pit
Dump pom-poms into a mixing bowl until it looks overfilled. Color is the joke; you do not need a gallon of them.
Step 2: Make a splash dent
Press a hole in the middle with your fist. That crater is where the cannonball happened.
Step 3: Drop the elf in
Sit them in the dent with pom-poms up to their chest and one arm flung out. Kids will ask if pom-poms are allowed in the real ball pit.
Step 4: Scatter a few escapees
Leave three pom-poms on the table like they bounced out, then corral the rest so the dog does not eat the set.
Pro Tips:
- • Red and green mix looks extra holiday; a rainbow mix looks extra chaotic.
- • A shoebox lid contains the bounce better than a plate.
- • Skip glitter pom-poms if you value your sanity.
- • Bag them immediately after the photo; they migrate.
