The hairbrush already lives on the vanity. Tonight the holiday elf is the morning stylist. This is a dry counter, not a bath. Two minutes, heat tools put away. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit.
No hot tools. Unplug irons and dryers and put them away. Hair ties and clips are a choking hazard on the floor. Keep the elf off a wet sink rim.
You Will Need This:
- Your holiday elf
- One hairbrush
- The vanity or dresser you already use
- Optional: a hair tie on the brush handle (not loose on the floor)
- Optional: a sticky note that says "Next"
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Set the vanity
Wipe a dry strip of counter. Set the brush as the station. Put the curling iron and dryer in a drawer.
Step 2: Pose the elf
Sit the posable elf on the dry vanity, facing the room or a tilted mirror. One hand on the brush. They are open for business.
Step 3: Add the tiny details
A "Next" note on the mirror glass is enough. Keep clips in a cup, not scattered. Angle the mirror so a keepsake photo does not catch a face.
Step 4: When kids find it
They find it at the morning tangle fight. Move the elf before anyone runs water.
Pro Tips:
- Dry counter only. A wet rim dumps the elf in the sink.
- This is not a bubble scene. Leave the tub alone.
- If two kids share the vanity, set two brushes in a line.
- Skip perfume bottles at the front edge. They stain.
