Kitchen Sink Duck Spa: Dish-Side Retreat

Spa day moved to the dish side of the house. Your elf is posted in a dry or barely damp kitchen sink with a rubber duck, looking very done with the North Pole’s wellness program. It is faster than a tub scene and much easier to drain before breakfast dishes. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit.
Use the kitchen sink, not the tub, and drain any water before you leave the room so nobody meets a surprise puddle.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • The kitchen sink
- • A rubber duck
- • A dish towel
- • Optional: mini duck and towel so the spa can have a doll-size duck and towel that actually fit the sink scene.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Clear the sink
Move dishes and knives out. Wipe the basin. This is a kitchen-sink spa, not a bathtub overflow, so leave the tub out of it.
Step 2: Add duck and towel
Set a rubber duck in the basin and fold a dish towel as a lounge chair. A teaspoon of water is optional and must be drained before you go to bed. Dry is funnier than soggy felt.
Step 3: Seat the spa guest
Sit your elf on the towel beside the duck, not in a pool. Cucumber slices are a cute photo extra if you will throw them out in the morning. Keep the garbage disposal off and empty.
Step 4: Drain before you sleep
If you added water, pull the stopper and dry the basin around the elf. In the morning, the sink should still be usable for coffee mugs. Put the duck back in the toy bin.
