Mouse Pad Snow Angel: Desk Blizzard

Your elf treated the mouse pad like a backyard after a snowstorm and went full snow-angel. Lay them on their back with arms out and scatter a few white sticky notes or cotton balls as flurries. It is the fastest way to make a homework desk feel like a holiday postcard. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit.
Unplug the computer mouse if you move it, keep drinks off the desk, and do not put cotton or paper into any ports or the keyboard.
You Will Need This:

- • A computer mouse pad
- • White sticky notes or cotton balls
- • A computer mouse, moved aside
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Clear the landing zone
Slide the mouse to the far side of the desk and set drinks elsewhere. Center the mouse pad so there is room for outstretched elf arms. If the pad is dark, the white “snow” will show better.
Step 2: Make a tiny blizzard
Tear or fold a few white sticky notes into flakes, or drop a handful of cotton balls around the pad, not into the keyboard. Keep the storm on the pad so it does not blow onto the floor. A tissue ripped into bits works if you are out of cotton.
Step 3: Make the snow angel
Lay your elf on their back in the middle of the pad with arms and legs slightly out. Tilt the head toward the room so the face shows in photos. If they roll, tuck a folded sticky note under one shoulder as a snowbank.
Step 4: Leave a weather report
Write “Desk blizzard. Mouse closed until morning.” on a sticky note and stick it to the monitor bezel, not the screen. In the morning, let kids help “shovel” the cotton into the trash, then put the mouse back. Wipe the pad if any ink transferred.
