If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit. Your elf decided to help decorate the Christmas tree! This festive scene shows your elf climbing the tree, hanging ornaments, or maybe causing a little holiday mischief among the branches.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • Optional: a tiny Christmas tree if you want that scene already set. Household safety still applies.
- • A Christmas tree (real or artificial)
- • Ornaments (especially ones your elf can "hold")
- • Optional: String or fishing line to secure your elf
- • Optional: Mini ladder or step stool
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Choose Your Tree Location
Find a good spot on your Christmas tree where your elf can be positioned. Lower branches work best for visibility, but higher branches create more drama!
Step 2: Position Your Elf
Carefully place your elf in the tree branches. You can have them sitting on a branch, "climbing" up the tree, or even hanging from a branch by their hands! Use fishing line if needed to secure them safely.
Step 3: Add Ornament Details
Have your elf "holding" an ornament, or place ornaments nearby that look like they're rearranging them. You could even have some ornaments "dropped" on the floor below!
Step 4: Create the Scene
Add a small sign at the base of the tree that says "I'm helping!" or "Tree decorating is hard work!" For extra fun, you could have your elf "hiding" among the branches.
