Cocoa Mug Hot Tub: Marshmallow Soak

The cocoa mug became a hot tub, and your elf brought marshmallow bubbles. They look extremely relaxed for someone sitting in yesterday’s favorite cup. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit.
Use a dry mug with no hot liquid, and skip real cocoa if the felt would get stained or sticky.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • A large empty mug
- • A few mini marshmallows or cotton balls
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Choose a roomy mug
Pick a mug wide enough for the elf to sit, not a tiny espresso cup they would get stuck in. Kids need to see the “tub,” not a hat sticking out of a hole.
Step 2: Keep it dry
Wipe the mug so there is no leftover cocoa. Sticky felt is a sad ending to a cute gag.
Step 3: Add marshmallow bubbles
Drop a few mini marshmallows around the elf like foam. Cotton balls work if you would rather not waste sweets.
Step 4: Give them a spoon tray
Lay a teaspoon across the mug as a pool deck. The elf with one arm on the spoon looks like they paid for a weekend pass.
