The night crew in the dish pit needed a break. Your elf is swaying in a towel hammock slung through the drying rack, looking extremely retired from suds. Pull the knives first, skip the dishwasher dance, and you still get a five-star kitchen nap. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't, start with the setup kit.
Take every knife out of the rack before you sling the hammock so nobody reaches into a blade in the morning.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • A dish drying rack
- • A clean dish towel
- • A clear counter with knives put away
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Pull the knives
Remove knives, peelers, and anything sharp from the rack and block. Put them in a drawer. This hammock is a soft-goods-only zone.
Step 2: Sling the towel
Thread a clean dish towel through two rack slots to make a tiny hammock. It does not need to hold a pineapple. A slight sag is the look.
Step 3: Lounge the elf
Lay your elf in the towel with a mug nearby as a coconut. Keep the dishwasher shut; this is not dishwasher disco. Face the scene toward the sink so it reads as break time.
Step 4: Leave a path to the coffee mugs
Do not bury the only clean cups under the hammock. In the morning, lift the doll, shake the towel into the laundry, and put knives back only where they belong.
