Doorknobs are easy to spot and work in almost any home. With a ribbon and a short note, your elf becomes a hallway lookout. If you already have a posable holiday elf, skip to the recipe. If you don't,start with the setup kit.
You Will Need:
- Your holiday elf
- Ribbon
- Bedroom, closet, or pantry doorknob
- Small note
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Choose the door
Pick a door that will not be opened aggressively in the morning.
Step 2: Secure the ribbon
Tie the ribbon around the elf and doorknob so the elf hangs safely.
Step 3: Add the lookout note
Use a note like "Hallway lookout" or "Door duty today."
Safety & Pro Tips:
- Do not block doors that need to close fully.
- Use soft ribbon, not string that can tangle.
- Keep the elf at kid eye level.
