You already have bread and a cutting board. Tonight the holiday elf is running a one-item deli line on the counter. Three minutes if the bread is already out. No knives in the scene. Keep the elf off the cutting edge. Recap condiments. Small lids are a choking hazard.

- Your holiday elf
- A cutting board
- Two slices of bread or a roll
- One closed condiment or a piece of cheese
- • Optional: a tiny kitchen island if you want that scene already set. Household safety still applies.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Set the counter
Set the cutting board as the deli counter. Lay two slices of bread like an open sandwich. No knife on the board.
Step 2: Pose the elf
Stand or sit the posable elf behind the board, facing the room, like they are taking an order. One hand on the bread is enough.
Step 3: Add the tiny details
Set the closed condiment as the topping station. If you use the mini cart, park it at the end of the board like a customer in line, not as a grocery-aisle rebuild and not as a cereal run.
Step 4: When kids find it
This lands before lunch or after school. Put the bread away after the photo if you do not want it stale.
Pro Tips:
- Use bread you will actually eat. Do not open a new loaf for a gag.
- A closed mustard bottle reads better than a smear.
- Skip this if you cannot keep a knife out of the frame.
