- • Craft table
- • Two or three bead tins with lids on
- • A scrap of paper labeled Aisle 3
- • Optional: mini grocery shelf so Aisle 3 can look like a real store shelf instead of a random pile of tins.
- • Optional: tin of tiny craft buttons if you want a second aisle of inventory (lid on, high table).
- • Optional: bag of wooden beads if you want fresh stock for the shelves (keep the bag up high).
- • Optional: tiny crayon jar if you want an impulse-buy display by the register.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Raise the store
Set the scene on a craft table kids cannot dump if a toddler lives here. Close every bead tin. This is restocking, not a bead spill.
Step 2: Line up the tins
Stand two or three tins in a neat row. Add a paper sign that says “Aisle 3.” Leave most of your craft stash in the cabinet so morning cleanup is tiny.
Step 3: Put the clerk on shift
Stand your elf in front of the row with one closed tin in hand. A serious restocking pose is funnier than a mess. Face the aisle toward the usual craft chair.
Step 4: Lid everything overnight
If a tin will not stay shut, it does not go in the scene. In the morning, let kids rearrange the “store” with lids still on. Sweep even if you think nothing spilled.
