You already own plates and a table. Tonight the holiday elf set one fancy place and put themselves on waiter duty. Three minutes. No candles. No new china.
No real candles. Skip steak knives. If you use glasses, set them back from the edge. Keep the elf off a wobbly charger plate.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • Optional: a tiny dining table and chairs if you want that scene already set. Household safety still applies.
- • One plate, one fork, one spoon, one cup
- • A napkin
- • The dining table
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Set one place
Set one full place at a kid's usual seat. Plate, napkin, fork, spoon, cup. No knife if you can skip it. The mini plates are optional, and only if you want a tiny place setting instead of pulling your real china. Skip the knife in the photo.
Step 2: Pose the elf
Stand or sit the posable elf beside the plate, facing the chair, like they are presenting the table. One hand on the napkin.
Step 3: Add the tiny details
A one-line menu note on the plate is enough. No candles, even unlit, if a toddler can grab them. Leave the rest of the table empty so the one place reads as formal.
Step 4: When kids find it
They find it at dinner. You can actually eat at that setting after you move the elf.
