Keep small jewelry off the floor and away from toddlers, and close real valuables in another box if this is a high-traffic dresser.
You Will Need This:
- • Your holiday elf
- • A jewelry box or trinket dish
- • A couple of chunky kid-safe beads or a play necklace
- • Optional: mini vanity set if you want a tiny mirror already sitting with the sparkle guard.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Open the box a crack
Lift the lid without dumping the contents. A peek of sparkle is the set; a spilled necklace is a Tuesday night headache.
Step 2: Clear a seat
Move rings to one side so the elf can sit in a tray. They should look like they claimed the velvet throne.
Step 3: Give them a prop necklace
Drape a play necklace or chunky bead strand around them like a costume. Kid jewelry is safer and funnier than real gold.
Step 4: Strike a jester pose
Tip the hat and throw both arms out. Kids will say “court jester” or “disco,” and either is a win.
